Currently, one of the main focuses of Mexar Ltd is the development of water based pigmented inks for a wide range of textile applications.
The use of water based pigment inks holds a number of advantages over other digital ink chemistries:
- Increased light fastness
- Excellent wash fastness
- No pre-treatment of the fabric
- No washing post treatment required
- Non substrate specific (ie the same inkset will print to a variety of fabric types)
We ensure the highest grade pigment preparations are created with an extremely tight particle size distribution to ensure smooth flow of the ink to the heads.
Mexar have developed inks for small format printers (flatbed piezo based print engines) through to wide format roll to roll print technology.
